A standard installation involves a mounted antenna on the parapet of the home. We also can do a tripod mount for a home with a pitched roof or a non-penetrating mount for a home with a flat roof. Special mounts are not included in a standard installation and are a separate charge. From the antennae on the roof, a cable will then be brought into the home and will connect to a little black box called a POE (Power Over Ethernet). The POE will then plug into an electrical outlet or a surge protector and give power to the antennae outside. From the POE, an Ethernet cable connects to a WiFi router to create WiFi throughout the home. On the day of a scheduled installation, the first thing a technician will do is climb on the roof to check for a clear, unobstructed signal from the nearest tower sight and make sure the service will work. Our internet service requires a clear, unobstructed line of sight view from the antennae on the roof to the nearest tower sight. The first thing the technician will immediately test for is speeds as well as signals. If the technician is unable to obtain a quality signal, he will immediately leave the home and the billing department will refund the $150.00 installation fee. If the technician is able to get a quality signal, he will then perform an internet service installation. If we are able to provide service and the service is declined for whatever reason, the installation fee will remain. If however, we are unable to provide service at the location, we will not hold you to the terms of the service agreement if we are unable to provide service.
